TECHNOGRAPHY® -- USING THE COMPUTER TO MAKE YOUR MEETINGS BETTER AND FASTER

The term Technography® was created and trademarked by Bernie DeKoven, who developed Technography in the mid-1980's (initially using some massive equipment to project a green and yellow image). His email: Bernie's email address

We have been using the computer as a group tool for the past 20 years. Appropriately used it can greatly increase the power of the group doing any task that requires either attention to language (drafting Government Regulation) or rapid manipulation of information (Priority Setting). We find that focused attention increases dramatically when participants can see what has been said by themselves and other members of the group.

Agreements are cleaner. People know what they are agreeing to. Agreements are remembered the next day. There is no week lag between flip chart notes and written notes. People walk away from the meeting with printed copies of their agreements and plans. It really works!!

Text from the computer
is projected onto this screen.
Excellent for:
• mission/vision statements,
• agreement review,
• agenda building.
• spread sheet "what if's"
• issue prioritizing /sorting

Technographer®

I've worked with Bernadette Gonzales as technographer for nearly ten years. I highly recommed her. She can be reached at Bernadette's email address.

Computer

Group members would be sitting out here in front of the screen where they can see the screen and each other. The data projectors we have allow room lights to be at normal levels so that participants can see papers and make notes and see the other people.
