Using Graphics With Groups

Overview Large butcher paper can create a picture that integrates ideas, shows relationships, supports conversations about complex and interrelated topics, supports group members memories of what was said, allows people to say, "When we were talking about this [pointing to the icon or image] ..." and the entire group can recall what was said at that moment, and sometimes it is possible to resolve conflicts by creating images that place multiple points of view on one piece of paper - thus emphasizing their interrelationships rather than their differences.

Other resources The San Francisco Bay Area has many highly talented graphic recorders and graphic facilitators.See the International Forum of Visual Practitioners Website for many links to them. One excellent source of referrals is found at David Sibbet's web site at Grove International Consulting. David's site also has a store that has many products that support graphic recording.
