Preliminary Assessment
Ask yourself, to what extent ...
[On a scale, 1= rarely … 7=almost all of the time]
1. Do my groups get through their agenda on time and with real closure
on topics?
2. Do my groups have ways to work through complex issues systematically
- ways that work time after time?
3. Does working together energize my groups? Do you look forward to working
with each other?
4. Do the members of my groups make use of their differences in experience
and knowledge - or are my groups limited by conflicts and confusion?
5. Does the work of my groups improve over time with experience and training?
Do they become more able to take on complex tasks and issues as time goes
on?
6. Could improved work in my groups improve the overall performance of
my organization?
We can improve the performance of your groups with
respect to each of these questions.

The
Power of the SmartGroups® Approach
- What is learned is used!! -
• Understandings and Agreements worked out by the
group create a collaborative structure that all have agreed to use and
that they support in action.
• Differences in perspective become an asset.
•
Learning together energizes and stimulates continuing learning as a group.
It enhances communication and builds a common language. Learning together
enhances the group‘s ability to work together.
• Methodology matches the realities of the current work place. We work
within the constraints of time available for learning, and with methods for
delivering content to the group that match learning content to need.
• Methodology matches how people learn best: bit-by-bit, learn while doing
real work, consistent reflection on work, and retention and utilization
supported by group.
